When the torque exceeds the predetermined value, the coupling slips on the shaft, the shear tube is sheared by the shear ring, and the oil pressure is unloaded within a few thousandths of a second. At this time, the coupling sleeve is restored under the action of metal elasticity. Prototype, the coupling and the shaft slide relative to each other (idling) to ensure safety. After the shear tube is replaced, it can continue to operate and resume work in a very short time.
